Our massive layout at York was a smash success! It featured about 80% new modules, the new Maryland Power Cabinet, and above all the new wiring harness. At both our April Tech Day test and at York the new harness proved its worth by eliminating our old problems of voltage drop and command signal degradation. The new wiring harness was voted in as the club standard back in November 2013. Since then most member modules and all of the club assets have been converted. New modules are being built to this standard. However, there are still a few members who have not yet made the transition. Starting with our fall round of shows, beginning with the Greenberg show in August, modules without the harness will not be included in club layouts. Plugging up Jones plug era modules degrades the signal and reduces power delivery. Members who do not yet have the new harnesses or need assistance in their installation should contact NCT President Jack Frost
