The Festival of Trains hosted by the Museum of Eastern Shore Life and the Queen Anne’s Railroad Society opened for two weekends on December 5 & 6, and 12 & 13. This year, the QARRS maintenance crew opened a wall between two adjoining units to provide double the floor space for layouts and displays. The show featured a dozen layouts ranging in size from Z gauge briefcase layouts up to the 25’ x 46’ National Capital Tracker layout. The show featured several hands-on layouts where our young guests could operate the Trains and a very popular floor layout for Brio and similar wooden push trains.
