Fellow Trackers: 2016 has really gotten off to a great start for the National
Capital Trackers. Here it is March and already we’ve had three great shows:
Timonium, Eagle Academy Public Charter School, and the Armed Forces Retirement
Home. More to come, too!
If you were at the February meeting, you heard me say how much the Great Scale
Train Show liked us, and would like to have us back for their April show; April
23 and 24. Again in the Cow Palace at Maryland State Fairgrounds, Timonium. This
is the week after York.
I had expressions of interest totaling three Trackers and 10 modules at the
meeting. To have participation, I think we’d need at least two more straight
modules, and, equally important, someone who could bring the trailer.
I’ll be at the Maryland Meeting march 17 in Laurel at the Olive Garden to
“talk it up” and hear if there is any more interest. I’ll defer contacting
the show people either way until after that meeting.
Positives: $200 honorarium, opportunity to participate in a BIG show with lots
of other clubs, drive-in unloading on Friday, discount motel rates, good food,
great fun!
