Chicken Festival
I just received word that the Chicken Festival planners liked the idea
of repeating what we did for the previous event: a layout 12 ft wide, 24 to 32
ft long, located in the rifle range.
The event takes place on Friday and Saturday June 20th and 21st.
Operating hours will likely be noon to late afternoon/early evening – the planners have not yet posted a schedule.
Trackers interested in participating are encouraged to bring agricultural-themed scenery and rolling stock.
Cheers,
John

Wings n Wheels, 2014
I received confirmation that Wings and Wheels will take place on
Saturday June 7th. The train guys (NCT and QARRS) are invited. There
is a W&W planning meeting next week (week of 23 March) so additional information will be forthcoming, but at this point, we can plan for the same format as last year with the layouts in the big maintenance hanger.
Cheers,
John

USMC Show Cancelled
The Show for the Marine Museum on February 8-9 2014 is CANCELLED because the severe weather systems coming to the Washington metro area. After several discussions with the museum personnel, Mike Fistere, George Tsakiris and president Jack Frost, we decided that to travel in severe winter conditions was not safe.
